Music Similarities within Social Communities
[Firefox Extension]

Now you can see how similar people’s musical tastes are to yours as you browse the web! This firefox extension will show you a music similarity score when you browse users’ home pages from any of the following online social communities:
- MyStrands
- Bebo
- Friendster
- Last.fm
- MySpace
Requirements
- Firefox 1.5 or newer
- An account on one of the above community websites
How to use it
After installing and initialising the extension with your account name, you should see a similarity measure on the navigation bar in the upper-right of the browser window whenever you visit someone’s homepage on one of the supported services.
On installing the extension, you should be prompted for your account name. If you ever want to change this, you can bring up the preferences for the extension either by clicking on the MyStrands logo on the status bar when it appears, or by going to firefox's “Tools” menu and choosing “Add-ons” (or “Extensions” if you are still using Firefox version 1.5) and then clicking the “Preferences” button on the MyStrands User Similarity extension.
If you click on the Muzika icon, a report on the last visited users will appear as shown in the screenshot below.
